(WWJ) We endured a polar vortex that sent real-feel temperatures hovering between 30 and 40 degrees below zero. Then they told us we had to turn down the heat inside or we could lose it altogether.
We didn't lost it, we held it together.
And maybe our reward is coming in the form of glorious spring weather.
A sure sign that good stuff is coming is the Detroit Tigers packed up the locker room at Comerica Park to bring equipment down to their spring training facility in Lakeland, Florida.
WWJ's Vickie Thomas watched as crews taped up boxes, along with plastic bins and other items, and moved them onto two semi-trucks.
The team's equipment house manager said helmets, baseballs, bats, underwear, fleeces, hoodies -- even athletic supporters -- were getting loaded on the trucks.
