(WWJ) One teen was killed and seven others were injured in a crash last night in west Michigan's Tyrone Township, just west of Grand Rapids.
Police say a 2003 Pontiac vibe was heading north when the driver failed to yield for the driver of a Chevy Traverse, who was heading west.
The collision sent one of the vehicles careening into a utility pole.
The 18-year-old man inside the Vibe was killed. Another passenger was airlifted to a nearby hospital in critical condition while a third has serious injuries.
Five others from both vehicles were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Michigan State Police say alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
