DETROIT(WWJ) - A Detroit woman is facing felony charges after allegedly beating another driver following an accident.

Twenty-year-old Laticqua Kinney was arraigned Thursday on a charges of assault with intent to do great bodily harm, aggravated assault and failure to stop at the scene of an accident.

The charges stem from an incident that happened around 6:50 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, when authorities say Kinney pulled in front of the victim and caused an accident along Linwood Street, near the Lodge and Chicago Boulevard.

Afterward, the victim pulled into a gas station while Kinney stopped on the street and walked over to the gas station. Police say an argument between the women escalated and turned into a physical altercation, during which two people who were in Kinney's vehicle joined the fray and allegedly struck, beat and stomped the victim.

Kinney and the others fled the scene before police arrived.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Police say an investigation led to Kinney's arrest. She is currently being held on a $25,000 bond and is due back in court for a probable cause conference on April 9, followed by a preliminary exam on April 16.
