SANDUSKY, OH (WWJ) -- Cedar Point will begin coasting back to normal when it opens its gates on May 14.
The popular midwest amusement park has released an updated re-opening plan for 2021, which eliminates the requirement of face coverings while outdoors and limited ride capacity for its patrons.
Additionally, temperate checks at entrance gates will no longer be protocol for park goers.
Still, certain COVID-19 precautions will remain in place.
Masks will still be required for all patrons 10 years or older while they are inside any of the park's buildings, including restaurants, arcades, retail shops and restrooms.
Social distancing of six feet will continue to be enforced while waiting in line, and rides will be routinely cleaned.
Additionally, attendees will still need to confirm that they are presenting no symptoms and haven't been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 in the last 10 days prior to entering the park.
Cedar Point will still operate with limited capacity this year, so anyone planning a trip to the park will have to make reservations and purchase tickets in advance on its website.
