CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Cowboy hats are on, the spits are fired up, and the music is blaring on the first day of Chicago's Windy City Smokeout.
It's the 10th year of the highly-anticipated country music and barbeque festival, but for Chelsea and Tatianah like from Colorado, this year's festival is a first.
"She found this on a like a whim, on the Internet," said Tatianah.
"Yeah we had never heard about it and we were gonna go to a different festival and the found this one and were like that sounds way more fun and I love Chicago," said Chelsea. "I've been here a lot."
Other fans are visiting from Wisconsin, Indiana, and even Oklahoma including Jennifer and her son Colin, who is seeing his first concert ever.
"I'm here for Zach Bryan. He's just an awesome singer," he said.
Colin even made two signs about the size of him in hopes of getting noticed by the country singer.
"It's my first concert and it's like songs...the names of his songs," he explained. Windy City Smokeout takes place through Sunday at the United Center.
