DETROIT (WWJ) - A domestic dispute left one woman dead after she was shot by a man on Detroit's east side on Friday morning, authorities confirmed.
The Detroit Police Department said the shooting occurred around 7:45 a.m. Friday. August 4, in the area of Gunston Ave. near Harper and Conner.
According to officers, a woman and a man in his 30s were involved in a domestic situation when the man shot and killed the woman.
Police immediately responded to the scene and arrested the suspect. The identities of both individuals involved were not made public.
Investigators are still trying to piece together what led up to the shooting. Officials said the investigation in ongoing.
No other details were released.
