DETROIT (WWJ) - A man is dead and a woman is hospitalized after they were hit by a vehicle while crossing the road in Detroit on Friday evening, police say.
Detroit Police Cpl. Dan Donakowski told WWJ that detectives are now searching for the alleged driver, who fled the scene after the crash on Greenfield and W. Chicago around 6 p.m. on Dec. 1.
Donakowski said the victims were walking over to the other side of the street when a dark-colored vehicle hit them.
The man died of his injuries while the woman was rushed to a local hospital. Donakowski said she is in temporary serious condition.
