DETROIT (WWJ) - One person is dead after a heated altercation between two men on Detroit's east side led to shots fired on Wednesday evening.
Detroit Police Department Public Information Officer Dan Donakowski told WWJ that the fatal shooting occurred just before 8:45 p.m. in the 5700 block of Devonshire on May 3.
According to Donakowski, two adult men were engaged in an altercation before one man produced a weapon and fired on the other, killing him.
The suspect was arrested by police and a firearm was recovered.
An investigation into the incident remains ongoing. No other details, including the identities of the two men, were released.
