DETROIT (WWJ) — An investigation is underway after a shooting in Detroit late Saturday night left one person dead and four others injured.
Around 11:30 p.m. shots rang out on Albion Street, near Hoover and 7 Mile, according to Detroit police. First responders found five people who had been shot.
A Detroit police spokesperson told WWJ one of the victims succumbed to their injuries.
The victims included four females, ranging in age from 14 to 20 years old, and one man in his 20s. Officials did not specify the identity of the person who died, but WXYZ reported it was "an adult woman."
The conditions of the surviving victims range from stable to temporary serious, according to the spokesperson.
Circumstances surrounding the shooting are unclear but police are continuing to investigate, as of Sunday afternoon.
No information about a suspect or possible motive has been released.
