(WWJ) Authorities are investigating a deadly crash in western Wayne County.
According to police, a man was killed when a semi tractor-trailer collided with a car along westbound Michigan Ave. at Hannan Rd., just east of I-275.
That's right at the border of Canton and the City of Wayne.
Reporting from the scene late Wednesday morning, WWJ's Mike Campbell said the man who was killed was in the car, and that the truck driver seemed to be OK.
"It appears that the car came over from the south side to the north side and we t-boned by that semi right in the intersection," Campbell reported. "The ended up right on the Wayne-Canton border. In fact, the car was in Canton and the truck might have been still having its trailer in Wayne at that point."
It's not clear at this time who was at fault for the crash.
The victim's name and other details were not immediately released.
