SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) -- Southfield police continue to follow up on leads as they search for any potential suspects involved in a deadly triple shooting outside a restaurant.
Officers responded at around 3:30 a.m. on Aug. 9 to reports of gunfire, and found a man shot dead inside the restaurant in a hallway.
He has since been identified by police as 24-year-old Christopher Griffith Jr., of Redford.
Two others were taken across the street to Ascension Providence Hospital, where one of them — identified as 28-year-old Johnny Jackson of Harper Woods — died of his injuries.
The third person been identified as a 31-year-old man from New Haven, who suffered a non life-threatening gunshot wound. according to police.
According to police speaking at a news conference on Monday, there was an afterhours party going on at the restaurant, when dispute erupted in the parking lot.
Southfield Police Chief Elvin Barren said the New Haven man has not been at all cooperative with investigators, as they work to determine what led to these shootings.
As of Friday morning, no suspects had been named or described.
Barren said, as of Monday afternoon, the investigation remained active and ongoing.
