
DETROIT (WWJ) - An early morning crash involving a vehicle and a semi ended with two people dead in Detroit on Friday, authorities confirmed.
The Detroit Police Department said a pair of men were killed in the crash after they collided with a semi around 3:10 a.m. in the area of Gratiot and Wilfred.
WWJ"s Charlie Langton reported live from the scene and said the the circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear, but earlier reports by other news outlets that stated there was a police chase prior to the crash were untrue.
The vehicle was unidentifiable when tow trucks arrived to remove it from the road. As of 7 a.m. Friday morning, the deceased men were not identified by police.
No other details about the crash were made public by police, Langton added.
