ECORSE (WWJ) -- An incident at the Great Lakes Steel plant in Ecorse has left two workers injured.
Company officials say fire crews were called to the plant off W. Jefferson Avenue on Wednesday morning in response to an issue with a boiler.
A spokesperson for the manufacturer says the employees' injuries were not life-threatening.
"We are currently assessing the situation and will provide updates as they become available," the company said in a statement. "We thank the local fire crews for their assistance."
