YPSILANTI TWP. (WWJ) - Two of four gunshot victims that were rushed to the hospital in Ypsilanti Township on Monday evening have now died, officials said.

According to Washtenaw County Deputy Sheriff Derek Jackson confirmed the deaths to WWJ's Charlie Langton on Tuesday morning.

"Three of the young men are brothers, they're siblings," Jackson explained. "One of those siblings, the 19-year-old, has died at the hospital and then one of their friends who was also with him, a 20-year-old, has also died at the hospital."

The other shooting victims are aged 14 and 16-years-old, Langton reported. The brothers remain in the hospital in serious condition, but are expected to pull through.

According to authorities, the four victims were injured when gunfire erupted on Monday night on George Place near Prospect Road and Michigan Avenue.

A car leaving the scene crashed nearby, though it’s not clear whether it was driven by a suspect, according to multiple reports.

"There are no suspects in custody this morning and no reason has been given for the shooting,' Langton said.

Jackson did not provide additional details. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
