DETROIT (WWJ) -- Two people have been found dead inside of their unlocked home on Detroit's east side over the weekend.
A family member, noticing the front door was open, found the victims -- a man and a woman -- shot to death, shortly after 5 p.m on Sunday, according to WDIV.
Following the discovery, officers were called to the home on Ohio Street.
“No forced entry,” Curt Worboys of the Detroit Police Department told WDIV. “The door was unlocked. The door was ajar and unsecured. They called 911 to have officers come out and take a look.”
The victims were last seen alive on Friday.
Police are asking those living in the area to call them at 313-596-2200 if they have any critical information that can lead to an arrest of whoever is responsible.
