WATCH: Two people in Detroit arrested after fleeing cops in stolen Jeep

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Two people are arrested after fleeing Michigan State Police in a car stolen out of Farmington Hills.

MSP says the stolen vehicle, a 2020 white Jeep Grand Cherokee, was being chased on Outer Drive and Plymouth Road in Detroit on Thursday at 8:45 p.m.


The suspect fled as police attempted to stop the vehicle twice.

Police said the two people inside the vehicle abandoned the Jeep south on Heyden from the eastbound I-96 Service Drive.

Officers then moved in and arrested the driver and passenger without incident.

The stolen vehicle was recovered and found to be stolen out of Farmington Hills.

The driver was found to have a felony stolen vehicle warrant out of the 67th District Court in Flint.

The driver and passenger were lodged at the Detroit Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing.
