(WWJ) Investigations are underway into two separate shootings on Monday that left young women hospitalized in Detroit.
The first happened at around 5:40 p.m. at a home in the 15100 block of Sussex, in the area of Greenfield Rd. and Tireman.
Detroit Police said a 24-year-old woman was wounded when an unknown suspect drove by and fired shot at her from a bronze color sedan.
The victim was taken to a local hospital by medics and listed in critical condition.
There is no further description of the suspect or suspect vehicle at this time, and a motive is unknown.

The second shooting happened just a few hours later, at around 8:30 p.m., in the 11900 block of E. State Fair, near Bradford.
According to investigators, a 21-year-old woman standing outside in front of her home when a red Ford Taurus, occupied by two unknown men and an known woman, drove by. Someone in the car fired multiple shots at the victim, striking her, then fled the location.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where she was listed in temporary serious condition.
Other details, including why the victim may have been targeted, are still unclear as the investigation gets underway.
