Police are investigating a single-car crash that killed one young woman and injured another, early Thursday morning in Detroit.
According to investigators, just after 3 a.m., a 21-year-old driver was trying to get off Lodge Freeway at the southbound Wyoming exit when she lost control of her 2011 Chrysler 300.
The car hit the embankment, then landed at the bottom of the entrance ramp, police said.
The driver was fatally injured, and her 20-year-old passenger was taken by EMS to a local hospital for treatment of injuries to her body.
The passenger is listed in serious condition, police said.
Other circumstances leading up to the crash are unclear as the investigation continues.
