ANN ARBOR (WWJ) A Van Buren Township woman died in a single-car rollover crash, police said in a social media post.

The crash happened Saturday, February 15, at 4:12 a.m., on Jackson near Gralake—in the area of I-94.

Ann Arbor Police (AAPD) said the woman, 29, had been traveling west on Jackson Avenue--and continued straight even when the road began to curve, losing control of her vehicle.

She left the road and struck a tree in the median area. The tree snapped in half, causing the vehicle to overturn; police said.

First responders pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Her name was not released.

AAPD is investigating the crash. Ann Arbor Fire and Huron Valley Ambulance assisted them at the scene.
