ALMA (WWJ) - Three students were taken into custody and one man is facing charges after police launched an investigation into a reported threat at Alma High School last week, officials announced.
According to the Gratiot County Prosecutor's Office, police first learned of the threat on Sept. 29 after tips were made to the OK2SAY student safety program operated by the State of Michigan.
OK2SAY allows tipsters to confidentially report information on potential harm or criminal activities directed at students, school employees, and schools.
Police investigated the tips submitted and obtained a warrant on a local home where police seized multiple firearms and ammunition, FOX 25 reported.
The three students were placed in juvenile detection on Thursday, officials said.
Kory Woolsey, 45, was also taken into custody and charged with two counts of felony in possession of a firearm and felon in possession of ammunition.
He was arriagned on Tuesday.
Woolsey's connection to the students in juvenile detention remains unclear at this time.
No other details about the case were made available by authorities.
