MACOMB TWP. (WWJ) — Three suspects are in custody and police are searching for two more following a drive-by shooting in a Macomb Township mobile home park on Sunday.
It happened around 5:45 p.m. on Feb. 2 on Sheri Drive in Westbridge Manor Mobile Home Park near Hall Road and Card Road, according to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office.
Police got multiple 911 calls reporting that multiple shots had been fired from a white Cadillac SUV. Witnesses said five people were seen running from the SUV.
Authorities said multiple mobile homes were hit, with the majority of shots hitting one home and one vehicle. No injuries were reported.
A possible motive in the shooting was not immediately clear.
Two of the suspects — a 20-year-old Detroit woman and a 26-year-old Eastpointe man — returned to the SUV a short time later and they were arrested, the sheriff’s office said.
Another suspect, an 18-year-old Macomb Twp. man, was taken into custody on an unrelated warrant.
A Chesterfield Township Police Department K9 assisted in recovering multiple weapons.
The sheriff’s office is still investigating the shooting and looking for additional suspects. Authorities have not released a description of the two others allegedly seen running from the Cadillac.
Anyone who knows something about the drive-by is asked to call Detective Merlo at 586-307-9358 or Matthew.Merlo@macombcountymi.gov.
