DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are investigating what led to a shooting in Detroit that left two people in critical condition and another in temporary serious condition on Monday night.

According to the Detroit Police Department, three people were struck by gunfire at a park in the 18400 block of Joann Avenue around 8:40 p.m. on Monday, June 19th.


One man and two women were injured and rushed to a local hospital. The man and one of the women were said by authorities to be in critical condition. The other woman is listed in temporary serious condition due to her injuries.

Detectives have not released a motive or the circumstances that led up to the shooting. It is currently unknown if a suspect has been identified or is in custody.

No other information has been made available. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
