FORT GRATIOT TWP (WWJ) -- Three people are in custody in relation to a break in at a home in St. Clair County.

St. Clair County deputies went to a home on Pine Ridge Drive for a residential alarm, which the alarm company called in just before 7 p.m. on Monday.

Deputies found a green Ford Bronco running in the driveway of the Fort Gratiot Township home with its doors ajar. The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office said it was later discovered that the Bronco was stolen.

The front door to the home was forced open, but deputies didn’t find anyone inside during a search. The Sheriff’s Office reported that voices could be heard coming from the woods near the home.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, two people were found walking in the area and arrested. A tip from a citizen helped deputies find a third person at a fast food restaurant. All three were taken to St. Clair County Detention and Intervention Center.

The homeowner reportedly confirmed two guns, an AK style rifle and a pistol, were stolen from the home.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office at 810-987-1700.
