(WWJ) Three people found with methamphetamine in the Traverse City area are facing charges, according to Michigan State Police.

The MSP Seventh District released details about three separate incidents following their arraignments on Monday in 86th District Court in Grand Traverse County.

In the first case, shortly before midnight on Thursday, April 6, troopers with the MSP Traverse City Post stopped a vehicle on W. South Airport Road in Garfield Township, which is just south of Traverse City.

The driver, identified as 30-year-old Joseph Aaron Zuniga of Traverse City, was driving without car insurance, police said, and didn't have his driver’s license with him.

The vehicle was towed, and troopers searching the car later found methamphetamine inside a container under the seats, according to MSP.

Zuniga was arrested, taken to the Grand Traverse County Jail, and charged with one count Possession of Methamphetamine. He has since been released on a personal bond.

The second arrest came following another traffic stop two nights later, on April 8, also in Garfield Township.

MSP said a trooper pulled over a vehicle along US-31 near W. South Airport Rd. in Garfield Township "for having defective equipment."

The driver, 26-year-old Megan Marian Foster of Kalkaska, had a warrant for her arrest for a probation violation, according to MSP.

Troopers arrested Foster and searched her car, where it's alleged they found a baggie containing suspected meth (pictured). Later, when searching Foster at the jail, police said they found she was in possession of a piece of foil with burnt fentanyl on it.

Foster is charged with one count Possession of Methamphetamine, with bond set at $25,000.

In the third case, also on the night of Saturday, April 8, MSP said a trooper with TC Post was inside a store in Blair Township when he spotted a man he recognized.

That man, identified as Alexander Joseph Ivy of Traverse City, had a warrant out for his arrest.

While taking Ivy into custody, MSP said the trooper found that the 31-year-old man was in possession of meth. He was lodged in the Grand Traverse County Jail, and was given a $25,000 bond.

All three of these defendants have upcoming court dates: Ivy on April 26, and both Foster and Zuniga on May 1.
