ROCHESTER HILLS (WWJ) -- Authorities say three more victims of last weekend's horrific mass shooting at the Brooklands Plaza Splash Pad are now out of the hospital.
The update, shared by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday, brings the total to six people who have now been released from the hospital after they were admitted for treatment of gunshot wounds on Saturday, June 15.
There were nine victims total in the shooting in Rochester Hills; and none of them have died.
Officials said those released on Tuesday include a 4-year-old boy who was shot in the leg, a 31-year-old man, and a 42-year-old man.
Also out of the hospital are a 77-year-old man, 39-year-old woman, and 37-year-old woman, who were previously released.
Still in the hospital at this point are three victims: a 39-year-old woman, a 30-year-old woman, and an 8-year-old boy. The 39-year-old, who was shot in the abdomen and the leg, is the mother of both of the boys who were shot.
Earlier this week, the OSCO has said the 8-year-old has "made amazing progress" despite suffering a gunshot wound to the head.
In Wednesday's update, the OCSO said the conditions of those hospitalized remain unchanged at this time.
While no motive has been uncovered in this case, information from a family member suggests the shooter — 42-year-old Michael William Nash of Shelby Township — was struggling with mental health and exhibited signs of paranoia.
Nash fired as many as 36 rounds with a 9 mm Glock handgun, officials said, stopping several times to reload after driving to the park from his Shelby Township home, where he lived with his mother.
After the shooting, the sheriff's office said Nash drove back home and fatally shot himself.
His mother, who was not at home at the time of the shooting, has retained legal counsel while prosecutors mull whether she could face charges for failing to report her son's suspicious behavior.
"Various lawyers differ on whether or not... a mother could be charged for her adult son's actions; that remains to be seen," WWJ Legal Analyst Charlie Langton said. "What we do know, though, is the mother did get a lawyer."
Sheriff Mike Bouchard said the mother told investigators her son was recently "walking around the house with weapons," talking about how the government was tracking him and that he was "being watched."
The gun used in the splash pad shooting was registered to Nash, who bought it legally in 2015, Bouchard said. Investigators found 11 more weapons at the home, including a high-powered rifle on the kitchen table.
