(WWJ) It's called the world’s largest one-day automotive event. The 2025 Woodard Dream Cruise is back and runs until 9 p.m. Saturday.

The cruise celebrates the automotive industry, classic cars and music on America’s first road.

There is cruising all day in nine cities from Ferndale’s Mustang Alley to Pleasant Ridge, Huntington Woods, Berkley, Royal Oak, Birmingham, Bloomfield Township, Bloomfield Hills and Pontiac with over 75,000 classics cruising and lining Woodward Avenue.

“From the first dream cruise on Woodward in 1995 to today, this event has always been driven by community,” said Michael Lary, president of the Woodward Dream Cruise. “It’s a beautiful reminder that while the cars rumble, the spirit of togetherness never goes out of style.”

The event kicked off Friday with a ribbon cutting in Ferndale.

That was followed by a Lights & Sirens Cruise Parade and a performance by Martha Reeves of ‘Martha Reeves and the Vandellas’ recognizing the 60th Anniversary of the hit single 'Nowhere To Run' and the iconic music video with Martha and the Vandellas sitting in a 1965 Mustang as its being assembled on the assembly line.

In Berkley, there was Cruisefest, which included a classic car parade.

“This is about connection with family and friends,” added Lary. “We invite everyone to come out and be part of this historic 30-year celebration.”
