PONTIAC (WWJ) – Two teens and two adults are in police custody after a deadly shooting in Pontiac early Saturday morning that police believe stemmed from a robbery.

Armani Baker, 22, of Waterford Township, was found dead in the front seat of a Ford Fusion around 12:30 a.m. Saturday after the Oakland County Sheriff's Office was called to the area of Hammond and Nelson Streets in Pontiac.

Two 18-year-olds and two other teens, ages 16 and 17, were arrested Saturday in connection to Baker's death. All of them are from Pontiac. Their names have not been released.

The juveniles are being held at Oakland County Children's Village, while the others are at the Oakland County Jail while the prosecutor's office reviews the case for possible criminal charges.

Deputies were called to the area of Hammond and Nelson early Saturday morning. When they showed up, they found Baker inside the car, which was stopped in the middle of Hammond, between Nelson and Oliver with the doors open.

He was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives believe the motive for the killing was robbery, but exact details of the incident have not been disclosed. Authorities did not say whether the suspects knew Baker prior to the shooting.

"Across this county and the country, it just seems there is less and less value placed on life," Sheriff Mike Bouchard said, per a press release. "The tragic loss of a life as a result of a petty robbery is an example. We look forward to these four being held fully accountable for this senseless violent act."
