SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) -- Five children were taken to hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries after a head-on crash in Southfield, Friday morning.
Southfield Police said they responded a two-vehicle crash on Lahser Road south of 10 Mile Rd., right next to Southfield High School.
One of the drivers involved, Nigel Harper, said he just dropped his kids off at the school, and was pulling out of the parking lot, when a woman driving up the middle lane hit his truck.
Harper was pretty shaken up, but wasn't hurt in the crash.
"We got out and looked at the vehicles, she got out of her car and her kids (were) in there... I just can't believe it," Harper told WWJ's Mike Campbell, at the scene.
The other car had six people inside; five of them were students. The kids weren't badly hurt, police said, but were all taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The woman driving the car was not injured.
It's unclear who was at fault for the crash, as the investigation continues.
