(WWJ) It's going to be a beautiful weekend in Metro Detroit, so get out and enjoy it! Here are some of our top picks for events in our area, brought to you by WWJ's Don't Miss List with Pat Vitale.

1. Birmingham Street Art Fair

Saturday, Sept. 13-Sunday, Sept. 14
Downtown Birmingham

Common Ground’s Birmingham Street Art Fair celebrates its 51st year, showcasing 100 juried artists in an elegant and extraordinary setting. The fair is surrounded by convenient parking for artists and fairgoers and within easy access to the many unique stores and fabulous restaurants of downtown Birmingham. Support mental health by attending and bidding in the new 1-Artist | 1-Hour Auction!, with proceeds going to Common Ground. The fair will take place on S. Old Woodward and Merrill between Maple and Brown St.

2. Troy Family Daze

Thursday, Sept. 11-Sunday, Sept. 14
Troy Community Center

Troy Family Daze returns for four days of fun! There will be carnival rides, great food, a parade, a cutest pet contest, car show, and more! This community festival is 100% driven by volunteers, with proceeds to support local charities. Free parking is available around the Troy Community Center, or free shuttle rides to the front gate of the festival from the Liberty Center parking garage.

3. Brews, Brats, and Bands

Saturday, Sep 13, 6PM-9PM
Heritage Park, Canton

The 21+ crowd is invited to this fun community event, with proceeds to benefit the Village Arts Factory. Choose from more than 75 craft beers and ciders, eat chili and brats and enjoy live entertainment at the Heritage Park Amphitheater. 4. Pointe Mouillee Waterfowl Festival

Saturday, Sept. 13-Sunday, Sept. 14
Pointe Mouillee State Game Area, Brownstown

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources will host this 77th annual event, featuring free, all-ages archery and BB gun shoots with trained supervision. The kids tent offers games, face painting and crafts, and there's a beer tent for the adults with live music and a football watch party, plus a huge trading post with hunting and fishing equipment, and outdoor clothing and supplies. Duck lovers can participate in the Monroe Decoy Show and a duck calling contest, and there's a Fun Jump for hunting dogs, too. Event admission is free.

5. Canterbury Village Oktoberfest

Saturday, Sept. 13-Sunday, Sept. 14
Canterbury Village, Lake Orion

Canterbury Village is celebrating Oktoberfest with a two-day party, with themed food, traditional Oktoberfest games, and plenty of beer. Another highlight: Live music from Fröhliche Musiker Blasorchester — Michigan’s premier polka band! The band will play from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. on both days of the festival. Other activities include a barrel rolling race, stein holding competition, sausage eating contest, and more.
