1. The Michigan Makers Spring Craft Market
It’s time to ring in spring and get a little crafty! This weekend, join over 400 crafters and vendors at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi for one of the biggest craft events in Michigan. The Michigan Makers Spring Craft Market will feature a variety of talented vendors selling handcrafted goods and unique products. Grab some gifts for your friends and family, or find something fun to brighten up your home or yard as springtime arrives in Michigan. The show happens Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m. through 5 p.m.

2. The 2024 Freep Film Festival
The Freep Film Festival is back once again to showcase a slew of great documentaries, with a focus on films connected to Detroit and Michigan. The festival also presents a variety of panel discussions, parties, live music events and more. Centered in the core of Downtown Detroit, the annual Freep Film Festival is produced by the Detroit Free Press, with events at the Detroit Film Theatre at the DIA, the Michigan Science Center and more.

It's going to be a ROARING good weekend at Canterbury Village! Canterbury Dragon Days celebrates the fact that Lake Orion is Dragon Country with a bit of FREE fun for the kids! This weekend will feature a dragon-themed scavenger hunt as well as games and crafts at the small shops of the village. Complete the scavenger hunt and be entered for a chance to win 4 FREE tickets to the upcoming Dino & Dragon Stroll - which will feature life-like, smoke-breathing animatronic dragons!

4. Opening Day at Greenfield Village
All aboard! Step into a world of wonder and history during Opening Day of Greenfield Village's 2024 Season! Returning April 13 is a newly renovated and refreshed Greenfield Village Store. Expect to find fan-favorites like handcrafted exclusives made in Liberty Craftworks and Frozen Custard apparel, as well as some exciting new surprises. Also back this season for the first time since 2019 are the DT&M Roundhouse, Grimm Jewelry Store and Dr. Howard’s Office. Experience the sights, sounds and sensations of America’s fascinating formation at Greenfield Village!

5. A Celebration of Horsepower: 60th Anniversary of The Mustang
Rev your engines and celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Ford Mustang this weekend! This Speaker Series event at the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant features Arthur Hyde. Hyde’s 40-year career at Ford Motor Company spanned Mustang development from 1977 to 1997, earning him the nickname “Mr. Mustang.” He will discuss the history of the iconic car and answer questions from the audience. Guests can also enjoy seeing classic and contemporary Mustangs parked both inside and outside the museum, plus complementary refreshments with purchase of ticket.
