Trying to find a way to get outdoors this weekend in Detroit? Let's go fly a kite! The 2023 Detroit Kite Festival returns to Belle Isle on Sunday, and Detroiters are ready to take to the skies. Enjoy a selection of food, music, drinks and of course, kite flying, at Cricket Field on Belle Isle. Bring your own kite or purchase one on-site to get in on the action. The high-flying fun happens from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Head to the Clark Park Culture & Arts festival in Southwest Detroit this weekend to spend a day full of joy and arts with your family, and for the opportunity to connect with your local artists and musicians! With the theme of freedom, and featuring musicians from the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and local artists from Detroit, the festival aims to celebrate the values of liberty and the diverse community of Southwest Detroit.

Get ready to celebrate Peace, Love and All things groovy at Canterbury Village this weekend! Hippie Fest in the Village allows visitors to stroll through the shops and outdoor vendors selling themed items and unique jewelry, clothing, arts, and crafts, while experiencing fun for the whole family. Hippie Fest weekend will also feature live music, shopping, tarot readers, bubble fun, and so much more!
Saturday, July 8 - Sunday, July 9 at Canterbury Village in Lake Orion
Now in its 43rd year, Plymouth's Art In The Park returns this weekend to welcome over 400 artists from around the U.S. offering paintings, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, fiber, glass, woodwork, photography, folk art & more. This 3-day event assembles artists who will display their work to nearly 300,000 shoppers! Entertainment and cuisine will complement the art exhibitors, creating a sensory filled experience. Attend Michigan's 2nd largest art fair for a weekend-long celebration of art, food and fun!

5. The Great American Trailer Park Musical
Get ready for country-rock and blues tunes and plenty of laughs at The Great American Trailer Park Musical. The story centers around regular guy Norbert and his agoraphobic wife, Jeannie, whose marriage is threatened by hot young stripper Pippi. The Armadillo Acres trailer park also plays home to Greek-chorus-like trio of women, Linoleum, Betty and Pickles, each dysfunctional in their own right. Get out your lawn chairs, crack open a beer, and prepare to be entertained by these wacky characters this weekend at the Riverbank Theatre in Marine City.
