CANTON TWP. (WWJ) -- Six men and one woman are facing criminal enterprise and other charges for allegedly stealing 16 high-end Ford SUVs in Metro Detroit.
According to Canton Police, the investigation began back in October of 2022, when multiple 2023 Ford Bronco Raptors were stolen from a Ford Motor Co. factory lot in Canton Township.
At around the same time, police said they were looking into the thefts of several more of these vehicles in Dearborn and Woodhaven that investigators believed were related.
Officers from Canton’s Special Operations Group conducted a "comprehensive investigation" into these multiple crimes, police said, resulting in the recovery of ten stolen Ford Bronco Raptors located in Northville, Detroit, Flint, Grand Rapids, Texas, Arizona and Alaska. They also recovered five more stolen vehicles (other than Broncos), an AR pistol, and $28,426 cash that police believe were proceeds from the sale of the stolen vehicles.
On August 15, of this year, police officers from Canton, Northville, Novi, Farmington Hills, West Bloomfield and the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office arrested the seven suspects.
