MADISON HEIGHTS (WWJ) – A woman in her 70s has died after her car was hit head-on late Saturday afternoon in Madison Heights.
The 77-year-old woman was driving east on 14 Mile Road between John R and Dequindre Roads when the driver of a westbound car crossed the centerline.
Police officials say the two cars collided and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene when first responders arrived.
The woman's name has not been released.
While police officials say the driver of the other vehicle is cooperating with the investigation, it was not clear what happened in the moments leading up to the crash.
It was not clear whether the other driver was injured.
