Police have one man is in custody after gunshots were heard early Saturday in Birmingham.
An alert was posted on social media that said Active Police Incident after gunshots were reported in the area of E Lincoln and S Adams. Later, police said the shots were fired in the 1400 block of East Lincoln St. Officers found shell casings in the area.
Investigators learned a party was advertised through social media at a rental home. Witnesses told police they heard an argument followed by multiple gunshots.
Security video from nearby homes shows a number of people running from the home.
Officers took one person into custody and several others were detained for questioning, according to police.
No victims or injuries were reported.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and there is no reason to believe there is any further danger to the public.
