First-degree murder charge filed, bond set at $2 million for alleged killer who streamed Warren standoff live on Facebook

WARREN (WWJ) -- A Warren resident is facing possible life in prison following a deadly stabbing and a six-hour standoff with police.

According to the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office, 30-year-old Dominick Robinson was arraigned in 37th District Court on Monday charge of First-Degree Premeditated Murder.

Prosecutors said Robinson stabbed a man multiple times inside a home — on on Westminster, near 8 Mile Rd. and Van Dyke — last Friday, and then refused to come out.

Aa police and the Special Response Team surrounded the house, the suspect — who goes by Nicky — spent hours live-streaming developments on Facebook while speaking with a negotiator by phone.

During the livestream, which revealed a bloody scene, Robinson admitted to being drunk and made several incriminating statements regarding the murder, according to police. A knife was also seen in the video.

Robinson eventually came out, and surrendered to police without incident.

In court on Monday, the judge ordered a mental health evaluation for Robinson, and set bond at $2 million cash, no 10%.

Robinson will be back in court for a Probable Cause Conference set for Tuesday, Dec. 23.

Authorities have not released the victim's name and haven not yet shared any information about what led up to the deadly stabbing.
