Early morning collision on Detroit's east side injures 2, kills at least 1 [VIDEO]
DETROIT (WWJ) - A serious crash sent two people to the hospital and killed at least one other in Detroit early Thursday morning, police confirmed.
The Detroit Police Department said officers responded to the scene of a reported crash around 2:25 a.m. on December 21 in the area of Van Dyke and Outer Drive.
Officers arrived to find two injured adults, one male and female, and rushed them to a local hospital. The woman was said to be in stable condition while the man is in critical condition.
Information about the deceased was not released by authorities, although unconfirmed reports state a child may have been involved.
The crash is currently under investigation with DPD's fatal squad division, who are still learning about the circumstances leading up to the incident.
