(WWJ) A shooting and a stabbing at a Detroit business left two men hospitalized.
Police say an employee at the business, 47, and the victim, 31, got into a "verbal altercation" inside the building, leading to the employee stabbing the victim.
It happened on Saturday around 7:50 p.m. on Conner near Gratiot, in the area of the Coleman A. Young International Airport.
After the stabbing, the victim left the location and returned with another man, 27, who holds a concealed pistol license. An exchange of gunfire broke out between the 27-year-old and the employee, according to police.
Both the 31-year-old and the 27-year-old were struck. They were taken to the hospital.
Both are in stable condition. The employee was taken into custody.
A motive for the attack, and the relationships between all involved (if any), is currently unknown.
Anyone with information on the attack is asked to call Detroit Police Department's Ninth Precinct at 313-596-5940 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak Up.
