
HIGHLAND PARK (WWJ) - Police are actively investigating a shooting that left one man dead outside a party store in Highland Park.

Special Investigation Section detectives spearheaded the homicide investigation after Michigan State Police were notified of the shooting on 10 E. McNichols Street just after midnight on Wednesday.
Detectives said two males appeared to have had a disagreement outside of a party store. The argument escalated until one man shot and killed the other. Police said the suspect then fled the scene and is not in police custody.
The investigation is ongoing and additional information was not released.
