STERLING HEIGHTS (WWJ) - It has been over 14 months since Army Specialist and Michigan native Trinity O’Brien had last seen her family, but she knew when she returned to American soil, she wanted to make sure it was a reunion to remember.

Officials with Utica schools helped O'Brien with her plans to surprise each of her nine siblings attend, who attend several schools across the district, on Thursday when she arrived back home for the first time in over a year.

O'Brien is serving a three year assignment overseas and is currently stationed in Germany; this is her first visit home since February 2021.

Trinity is the eldest child among her brothers and sisters. Her oldest brother graduated in 2021 and she has four siblings at Browning Elementary, one sister at Bemis Junior High School and two siblings at Henry Ford II High School.

WWJ's Ryan Marshall was on hand during one of the reunions at the Henry Ford II High School lunch room on Thursday as she hugged her siblings, Felicity and Liam.

O'Brien will travel to Bemis Junior High School and Browning Elementary to reunite with her other brothers and sisters.
