ROCHESTER HILLS (WWJ) -- Criminal charges have been filed against an Auburn Hills man who turned himself in after allegedly exposing himself to a group of young girls.
Brandon Richardson, 32, was arraigned in 52-3 District Court Tuesday on two misdemeanor counts of indecent exposure.
The Oakland County Sheriff Office said the incident happened on June 29 outside the Shake Shack and then the Barnes & Noble at the Village of Rochester Hills outdoor shopping center.
A group of pre-teen girls reported Richardson allegedly exposed his "privates" to them twice, before they yelled at him and he ran away, the sheriff's office said.
Accompanied by his attorney, Richardson surrendered to deputies roughly eight hours after his photo was posted online.
He spent Monday night in the Oakland County Jail.
“I appreciate the public’s help with numerous tips coming in after the suspect’s photo was released,” Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard said. “He was taken into custody last night and now has been charged and arraigned. We look forward to this case moving forward in the days ahead.”
The magistrate set a $5,000 personal bond for Richardson, which allows for his release.
A conviction on the charge against Richardson carries up to one year in jail.
