A Bloomfield Township couple are recovering after allegedly getting into a fight with an attempted robber in their home.
Police said Bobby Foster, 24, broke into the home on Helston Court near Long Lake and Squirrel Roads last weekend. The homeowner's dog started barking, which apparently scared the suspect into hiding, and the woman of the house discovered the would-be robber hiding.
She got into a fight with the man, police said.
He was able to run away, but along the way he dropped his cell phone and car keys.
Police said they used a drone and K-9 dog to find him on a nearby road. His car was found parked in a driveway near the victim's house. He's been charged with home invasion and assault and will go before a judge next week.
