
EAST LANSING (WWJ) East Lansing Police are investigating a grizzly discovery at a local home.
In a press release; East Lansing Police said a 911 caller reported blood inside a home on Wintercrest, near US-127 and Grand River, on Thursday, November 7th.
Police officers went inside the home with the property management company and found the blood on the floor.
While searching the home, officers discovered a dead person inside the freezer. Possible human remains of another person of unknown gender were also found inside the freezer, police said.
Michigan State Police assisted in taking evidence from the home. The evidence is under review at a crime lab.
No arrests were made. Police said they believe there is no threat to the public.
