(WWJ) -- It has been almost two months since 18-year-old Brendan Santo went missing and his father spoke out through Facebook on the case and begged for more help in the search for his son.
"Brendan basically vanished," wrote the father, Brad Santo.
The letter states that the family's goal since day one was to raise awareness on Brendan's story with the hopes of having that one person who may have seen something to help them find their son.
Brendan's phone was last located in an area where the campus cameras were not working. "The campus was packed with people all weekend with phones taking pictures and videos, yet not one person has come forward to say they saw him," wrote Santo. "In this day and age, how can a person just vanish?"
"Our family has conducted multiple civilian searches of the Michigan State University campus with an estimated overall total of 800+ volunteers," wrote Santo. "We found no sign of Brendan or his belongings. Civilians and students continue to search the campus on a daily basis and have been posting flyers all over campus and beyond."
"We are but a small group in the scheme of things and this is why we are BEGGING for help getting Brendan’s story out there for the simple fact that he is MISSING," Santo concludes.
After weeks of searching the Red Cedar River that runs through campus, there has been no signs of the Grand Valley University freshman.
Brendan has been missing since Oct. 29, shortly before midnight in East Lansing. He was visiting friends at MSU for the football game against the University of Michigan the following day on Oct. 30.
He was last seen leaving Yakeley Hall on MSU's campus and was walking back to where his friends lived. The last time his friends heard from him is when Brendan sent a Snapchat to them saying he didn't know where he was.
Police confirm that at the time he went missing his phone battery was completely dead.
A task force has been formed which includes Michigan State University Campus Police, East Lansing Police, the FBI, Grand Valley State University Police, Ingham County Sheriff, Michigan Office Department of the Attorney General, Michigan State Police and the Oakland County Sheriff.
There is a dedicated tip line for people to use to send in anonymous information on Brendan's whereabouts at 844-99-MSUPD (844-996-7873) or tips@police.msu.edu.
Brendan's family have created a Facebook page and group as well as an Instagram account to assist in raising awareness on Brendan’s story:
