(WWJ) – Detroit and the surrounding areas have plenty of exciting places to explore. Especially when it comes to the craft beer scene.

Visit Detroit is rolling out a new program – the Brew Trail – this summer, giving visitors a chance to not only hit some of the area’s best bars, breweries, sites and attractions, but win prizes too.

WWJ’s Erin Vee spoke with Visit Detroit President and CEO Claude Molinari about the Brew Trail, and what will be available to those who sign up for a pass this summer.

Visit Detroit’s website says the trail guide “has everything you need for tasting and earning points while sampling in ales, lagers, stouts, porters, wheats, pilsners and other craft creations.”

“Tilt an elbow and bend an ear at some of our personal favorites and award-winning breweries in the state such as Founders Brewing Company, Atwater Brewery, and Jolly Pumpkin. The more check in’s you do, the more prizes you can win!”

Explorers and beer drinkers can sign up for the Brew Trail pass on the Visit Detroit website.
