SANDUSKY, OHIO (WWJ) -- A popular ride at Cedar Point is closed until further notice after a woman standing near it was hurt.

Local reports say the woman was waiting in line for the Top Thrill Dragster when a small metal object fell from one of its trains and hit her.

She was take to Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, but was later transferred to another facility for treatment. The woman's condition isn't currently known.

Park spokesman Tony Clark says the ride will remain closed until further notice.

“The park’s EMS team and Sandusky Fire Department responded immediately, and the guest was transported to the hospital for medical care. At this time, our focus is on the guest and her family,” Clark said in a statement.

The Top Thrill Dragster is one of the park's most well-known roller coasters.

The ride -- which first debuted at Cedar Point in 2003 -- stands at 420 feet high, and reaches a top speed of 120 miles per hour.
