GARDEN CITY (WWJ) – Garden City Police are searching for the parents of a missing 3-year-old girl.
The child was found walking alone Thursday, around 12:38 a.m., in the area of Cherry Hill Road and Middlebelt Road in Garden City.
Police describe the child as a Black female with black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing her hair in two ponytails with blue barrettes. Investigators say she is non-verbal.

The department is asking for help in identifying and locating the parents or legal guardian of this child. It's not clear at this time why the girl was alone, or where she may have come from.
