(WWJ) A child is in critical condition after a crash on a sled in Rochester Hills.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office says the father, 37, of Royal Oak was driving a 2009 Jeep Wrangler while towing his son, 9, on a plastic sled.
While the man towed him in circles around the cul-de-sac, the little boy slammed into the rear of a parked Ford Fusion.
The car was legally parked, according to the Sheriff. It happened Saturday around 1:15 p.m. on Somerville, near Hamlin and John R.
The child, a resident of St. Clair Shores, was life-flighted from William Beaumont Hospital to Children's Hospital in Detroit where he remains fighting for his life.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this incident, the sheriff's office said. An investigation is ongoing.
