CLINTON TWP. (WWJ) A domestic dispute in Clinton Township ends with a woman dead, and her husband in custody; police said.
Clinton Township Police said the shooting happened on Friday, January 30th, at a home on 15 Mile near Gratiot. Officers responded to reports of shots fired.
According to authorities, officers arrived and found the woman upstairs with multiple gunshot wounds. First responders attempted life-saving measures to no avail.
Preliminary investigation suggests a domestic dispute escalated, leading to the man pulling out a gun and shooting his wife; police said.
According to police, the suspect called 911 to report the shooting. Officers took him into custody at the scene.
The woman’s name and age were not released.
Police told WWJ there is “no threat to the public at this time.”
