DETROIT (WWJ) -- Concern continues to grow as Detroit Police continue an intensive search for a missing 13-year-old girl, last seen getting off a school bus on the city's east side.

Na'Ziyah Harris was wearing a light blue jean shirt, light blue jeans and a pink and white Rugrats coat with a fur collar when she went missing on Tuesday, January 9, in the area of Cornwall and Three Mile Drive.

She is 5'2'' tall and weighs 130 lbs.

Police said there are many "unverified rumors" spreading online about this case, and that all any information about the investigation will come from the Detroit Police Department and will be shared to the DPD's social media pages

Chief James White said, as the search continues, his investigators have not given up hope they can find Na'Ziyah safe and unharmed.

"Thank goodness we didn't find her, but we want to find her," White told reporters at a news briefing. "Where we were looking we weren't gonna find her in the condition that we're hoping to find her in, and that's alive."

White said there is new information that the teen has possibly been hiding out with a friend these last several weeks.

"Suspects are being talked to, and we'll have more to announce on that a little bit later," said the chief. "But we're gonna exhaust everything geared toward bringing her home alive. And what we're hopeful of is that she's with one of her friends somewhere, maybe not even in the City of Detroit or in the state of Michigan."

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to this missing child's location.

Anyone with information about Harris' whereabouts is urged to call the DPD's Major Crimes Division at 313-596-2260. To remain 100% anonymous, tipsters can call the Crime Stoppers line at 1-800-Speak Up (1-800-773-2587), or submit information online at this link.
