He is also a suspect in dozens of additional home invasions in Rochester Hills. Between December 20 and 29th, detectives investigated the same suspect break into or attempt to break into 25 unlocked homes and vehicles throughout the community.
Detectives identified Humpkins through a tip when he tried to use a stolen credit card, according to the sheriff’s office.
Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office Patrol Unit arrested Humpkins “without incident” on Thursday, January 9th, and found a loaded Sig Sauer pistol in his car, the sheriff’s office said.
“Sadly, once again, we have an individual with multiple arrests for illegal weapons back out on the street…” Bouchard said. “This has to stop. Thank heavens no one was hurt during this crime spree he committed in Rochester Hills.”
